Thanks to funding from the Bury Culture Grant Fund we are beginning a 12 month textile project looking at the women who worked within the cotton mills and garment manufacturing industries across Bury and Greater Manchester.
This will culminate in making a quilt to tell the stories of the women involved which will be displayed at Bury Art Museum in time for International Women's Day 2025.
If you are interested in being involved, or have stories to tell about relatives who worked in these industries , join us for an afternoon of reminiscing, story telling, tea and biscuits at The Big Fandango.
